Our Story

We have a cottage home buillt in 1920 in East Port Annapolis, MD. Chuck has a 20+ career in soil and water conservation and wanted to install rain barrels to do the right thing for his love of the Chesapeake Bay. We were in Charleston,SC one weekend and saw oak barrels used as rain barrels, came home and made it our mission to find oak barrels locally to rig up our own oak rain barrels. Alas we installed three on the front down spouts of our historic home. Many passing by would ask where we got our oak rain barrels. Lynn being a green advocate - enterpreneur and a LEED, AP said this is something of service to our community. Chuck spent weeks and weeks perfecting the design and locating a supply of fresh oak barrels from winery's and distillaries,. In the spring and summer of 2009 we took a chance and launched our small green business and to date have sold over 500 oak rain barrels to like minded people who wanted to install rain barrels and enamoured by the charm of the authentic oak barrel. Builders, remodelers and homeowners who appreciate the "Art" and function of the oak rain barrel we thank you for your support. We enjoy the service we provide and the wonderful conscious people we meet along the way. We truly appreciate your small investment in the oak rain barrel that recycles and reuses a historic treasure, helps protect our beautiful Chesapeake Bay and preserve our most precious resource - WATER!
